Bavarian Kraut and Pork Goulash

 


Ingredients
1 (15.0 oz.) can of Bavarian Sauerkraut
1 lbs. boneless pork chips, cubed
4 tbsp. olive oil
2 medium sweet white onions, chopped
1 cup green pepper, diced
1-1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 lb. spiral pasta
1 (12.0 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (28.0 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
In kettle cook pork in olive oil until lightly browned. Add onions, green pepper, and paprika; simmer until vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, prepare pasta as directed on package. Stir in cooked pasta, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, brown sugar, and garlic powder. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add undrained sauerkraut and simmer for 15 more minutes.
Makes 4 - 6 servings
