Spaghetti and Meatballs

 


Ingredients:  
16 ounces Dakota Growers spaghetti
16 ounces ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
2 eggs
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1 cup flour
1 jar (32-ounces) marinara sauce
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  Directions In medium bowl, mix beef, garlic salt, oregano, basil, and pepper. Add bread crumbs and eggs; mix until eggs are absorbed and mixture is smooth. Roll together meatballs scooping 1 tablespoon of meat mixture and shape into ball. Roll over flour and set aside. Heat oil in frying pan and cook onion over medium heat until soft. Brown meatballs evenly on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Add marinara sauce and cook covered, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and toss with meatballs, sauce and Parmesan cheese. Servings 4
