Lasagna with Sausage and Beef

 


Ingredients:  
16 ounces Dakota Growers lasagna
1 cup carrots, sliced
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1 can (4-ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
16 ounces, spicy Italian sausage
16 ounces, lean ground beef
1 jar (32-ounces) marinara sauce
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 cup Parmesan cheese
  Directions Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook carrots, onions, and mushrooms 5 minutes or until soft. Add sausage and ground beef and brown; drain off juices. Stir in marinara sauce; reduce heat to low, and cook 30 minutes. In a small bowl, mix together ricotta and Parmesan cheese. Cook lasagna according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease a 10x12-inch baking pan and place one layer of noodles to cover bottom of pan. Spoon 1 cup of meat sauce over the noodles followed by a layer cheese mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up. Bake covered for 1 hour. Let rest 10 minutes; cut and serve. Servings 8
