Italian Steak and Pasta



1 pound top round steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips

1/2 cup Italian dressing

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small zucchini, chopped

1 small yellow squash, chopped

8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms

1 can (15 ounces) diced Italian tomatoes, undrained

2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

red pepper flakes (optional)

16 ounces Dakota Growers Fettuccine

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  Directions Place beef strips in a sealed container with Italian dressing, garlic and pepper. Marinate for 4 hours or overnight. Remove steak and discard marinade. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute zucchini, squash and mushrooms for 5 minutes or until tender. Add tomatoes, basil, red pepper flakes and steak. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Toss with pasta. Top with fresh Parmesan cheese. Servings 6
