Turtle Brownies

 


Ingredients
1        (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1        (3.9-ounce) package chocolate instant pudding and pie filling
1        cup butter, melted
1        cup evaporated milk, divided
1        (14-ounce) package caramels
1        cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½        cup chopped pecans, toasted
Cooking Directions
In bowl, combine cake mix, dry pudding, butter and ½ cup evaporated milk.  Press ½ of mixture into a 9x13-inch baking pan.  Bake at 325°F for 12 minutes.  Meanwhile, in saucepan, melt caramels and remaining evaporated milk, stirring constantly.  Spread caramel mixture over baked layer.  Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.  Drop the remaining cake batter in teaspoonfuls over the brownies.  Bake 25-30 minutes or until the top is set.  Serves 24.
