Squash Nut Sweetbread
Ingredients |
1 (15.0 oz.) can of Squash |
1-1/2 cups flour |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. baking powder |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1 tsp. grated nutmeg |
1/2 tsp. salt |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
3/4 cup walnuts |
Preheat oven to 350oF. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, and spices. Stir in pumpkin, eggs, and butter; add walnuts and mix. Scrape into a greased 6 x 9 loaf pan and bake for 1 hour (or until knife inserted in bread comes out clean). |
