Four Cheese and Beef Casserole



8 ounces Dakota Growers Elbow Macaroni

8 ounces lean ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 jar (28 ounces) pasta sauce

4 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese

4 ounces sliced provolone cheese

3/4 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil


  Directions Prepare pasta according to package directions. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown beef. Add onion and cook until tender. Drain off juices. Add pasta sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish with non-stick spray or butter. Place half of the pasta in the dish, top with a layer of provolone and mozzarella slices. Spread in a layer of half of the pasta sauce mixture and the ricotta cheese. Cover with remaining pasta, cheese and sauce. Sprinkle with a layer of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Cover and bake for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake an additional 10 minutes. Servings 4
